Yann Candele Named CAVALOR 'Athlete of the Month' for February

March 12, 2009 - Ottawa, Ontario – Jump Canada has named Yann Candele the CAVALOR 'Athlete of the Month' for February.
Candele of Nobleton, ON, made his Canadian Show Jumping Team debut riding Mustique in the $75,000 Nations’ Cup, Presented by CN, at the CSIO 4* Wellington, FL, on Friday, February 27.  The experience was a winning one for Candele as he, along with teammates Keean White, Eric Lamaze, and Ian Millar claimed victory.

The following day, Saturday, February 28, Candele won the $25,000 1.50m Fidelity Investments Classic riding Pitareusa for owner Susan Grange.

“We have been working very hard, and it was very nice that Jump Canada put its trust in us to go into the ring for the Nations’ Cup.  It felt so great to win!” said Candele, 37, who formerly competed for France before becoming a Canadian citizen in 2008.  “Cavalor makes great products, and I am very thankful for their sponsorship.”
